ADP Bows Gratitude to Shanghai Government at the 10th Annual Appreciation Dinner:
We are benefiting from the Stable and Amiable Investment Atmosphere in China

Shanghai, Dec. 18, 2010— ADP® today announces they participated the 10th Annual Shanghai Government Appreciation Dinner, hosted by the American Chamber of Commerce Shanghai, to show their gratitude and tributes to Shanghai Government, for their solid development in China recent years, thanks to Shanghai’s stable, amiable environments for foreign investments. Over 500 representatives from major American business including ADP in Shanghai toasted to shanghai Deputy Mayor Tang Dengjie for his team’s efforts in building a versatile business hub in China to boost local economy and entertain foreign investments. ADP China Managing Director Amer Akhtar delivered a keynote speech to summarize ADPs development in China and explicated their appreciation to the local government.

Held at the Pudong Shangri-La, Shanghai, the 10th Annual Shanghai Government Appreciation Dinner is one of AmCham Shanghai’s signature events organized for American business community in Shanghai and is a great opportunity for the community to express their appreciation to the Shanghai municipal government and for their efforts to create a steadily improving business environment for foreign companies in Shanghai.  As Amer Akhtar remarked at the dinner,” ADP is grateful for ongoing supports from Shanghai and Luwan District Government to ease ADP’s growth in China. Consistency, stability and transparency in Shanghai Government’s policies to foreign business impressed us deeply in these happy days. In the last few years, Shanghai, as a business centre in not only China, but also Asia, is going quickly at infrastructure build-up. Specifically, we all enjoyed the Shanghai Expo 2010, a testimony for Shanghai Government hard work in developing municipal infrastructure and improving efficiency for foreign business. Now, I like all of my country fellows, would like to say thank you, Mr. Tang!”

According to Amer Akhtar, ADP is dedicated to development and growth of human resource business outsourcing in the world. China’s enormous achievements in economy amazed the world and ADP, and his huge HR BPO market is attracting attentions of foreign investments. In 2006, ADP announced entry in China, and in 2009, ADP acquired a Shanghai-based HR services provider to deepen his roots in China. Combing local expertise with ADP’s innovation in technologies, best breeds of services and high retention of employment, ADP brought to China local business his insights and know-how in the worldwide HR BPO. “We are confident that additional investments at suitable time in such an easy atmosphere like Shanghai will necessarily help local enterprises grow quickly and thus boost development of China local human resource services development.” Amer Akhtar said.

As the leading HR BPO provider in the world, ADP serves more than 550,000 employers worldwide, including more than 60% of the Fortune 500, 75% of the Fortune 100, and over 400,000 small companies. In China, ADP was granted a dozen of awards for his excellent performances in the local market, including the “Outsourcing Firm of the Year” by China Staff Human Resources Award (2007 and 2009), the “Shanghai Key Outsourcing Enterprise” Title by China Government in 2008, and the 2009-2010 Greater China Best Human Resource Services Brand By Human Capital Management magazine in 2010. At the beginning of 2010, Shanghai Government list ADP as one of the “Technology Advanced Service Enterprises”.
